Welcome to this exam readiness course, designed to prepare you to take the AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty (MLS-C01) exam. The purpose of this course is to introduce you to the mechanics and logistics of the exam, as well as the exam’s technical domains.
You’ll notice that there’s a module providing you with an overview of the exam and then a module dedicated to each of the four exam domains. In each of those domain-focused modules, you’ll get an overview of the topics, concepts, and services that align with that particular domain. You’ll also get a chance to walk through a related practice question, as well as take a quick quiz at the end of each domain module. At the end of the course, you’ll get some additional study questions, recommendations for resources, and details on signing up for the exam.
In the digital version of this course, you’ll be able to move through the modules and the various MLS-C01 examtopics at your own pace and convenience, but for a more intensive experience—and a slightly deeper dive—you may want to check out the half-day instructor-led version of this course.
To make the most of this course, you should be a machine learning practitioner, with at least one year of experience working with ML. You should be able to do the following.
- Express the intuition behind basic ML algorithms and perform basic hyperparameter optimization
- Understand the ML pipeline and its components
- You should have experience with frameworks for ML and deep learning, and
- You should also understand and have experience in model training, deployment and operational best practices.
Be aware that this course will not teach you how to use machine learning. AWS assumes that you have the baseline prerequisites in the field already — this course will show you how to prepare to take the exam.
Specifically, by the end of this course, you should be able to do these things:
- Identify your strengths and weaknesses in each exam domain, so you know what to study for
- Describe the technical topics and concepts in each domain
- Explain the logistics of the exam questions
- Use effective strategies for studying and taking the exam
