Note: This item is part of a series of questions with the exact same scenario but with a different proposed answer. Each one in the series has a unique solution that may, or may not, comply with the requirements specified in the scenario.

Tutorials Dojo has a subscription named TDSub1 that contains the following resources:

TDVM1 needs to connect to a newly created virtual network named TDNET1 that is located in Japan West.

What should you do to connect TDVM1 to TDNET1?

Solution: You redeploy TDVM1 to the Japan West region, create a network interface in TDNET1, and attach it to the redeployed TDVM1.

    Does this meet the goal?

Answer is Yes, but ‘Redeploy’ can not redeploy VM to another region, ony in the same data center. So, it should be No

    Hello Sungpill Han,

Thank you for pointing this out and for sharing your clarification. We truly appreciate it.

You are correct that the Azure Redeploy operation only moves a virtual machine to a new host within the same region and does not support moving a VM to another region. We have reviewed this item based on the latest Azure documentation and updated the explanation and final answer accordingly. These updates have already been applied and will be reflected on the platform shortly.

Please feel free to reach out anytime if you have further questions or need additional clarification.

    Cheers,

    Irene @ Tutorials Dojo
