As-900 Data Transfer Cost Question

Hi,

I noticed that in one of your sample questions for the az900, you state that you have to pay to transfer data from one availability zone to another. This appears to no longer be the case.

For question starting with “You have been tasked with reducing your organization’s monthly Azure usage”…

The answer states “It is the… transfer and data between … availability zones that are not free“

For question starting with “For each of the following items, choose Yes if the statement is true or choose No if the statement is false.” about data transfer

The answer states “The following statements are incorrect because you are charged for data that moves between Azure availability zones…”

However, transfer of data between availability zones is now free.

According to Microsoft Azure, there are no longer any charges for transferring data between availability zones within the same region. This change means you can move data between availability zones without extra costs, which helps improve your cloud infrastructure’s reliability.

Please note – charges still apply for data transfers between different Azure regions or if you’re sending data from Azure to external networks.
