My VPC wizard is a bit different.

My questions are:

About “Create a NAT gateway and assign an Elastic IP address.”
1) Should I create a route table for private subnet 0.0.0.0/0 target NGW?

About “Ensure that all EC2 instances launched in the td-vpc-lab will always be associated with a DNS hostname.”
2) Should I change public subnet (enable auto-assign public IPv4 address / Enable resource name DNS A record on launch)?
3) Should I change private subnet (enable resource name DNS A record on launch)?

Hello Mameli,

1) Should I create a route table for private subnet 0.0.0.0/0 target NGW?

>> It’s not necessary for the exam lab. But yes, if you want to test the connection between the private instance and the internet, configure the private subnet’s route table and set 0.0.0.0/0 as the destination and the NGW as the target.
2) Should I change public subnet (enable auto-assign public IPv4 address / Enable resource name DNS A record on launch)?
3) Should I change private subnet (enable resource name DNS A record on launch)?

Hi TD,

I have a question regarding:

2. Create a public subnet called td-public-subnet in us-west-1a and assign the 10.0.0.0/24 CIDR block. Then, create a private subnet called td-private-subnet in us-west-1b and assign the 10.0.1.0/24 CIDR block.

Should each td-public-subnet and td-private-subnet be configured in a single or multiple AZ? Thanks.
