I am scoring pretty high in the 80s – 90s with the practice exams on here which is great, however when I went through the AWS Exam Readiness Course and attempted the questions there I was getting quite a few of them wrong as they went into some fine-grained details regarding Cognito, Redis and other services.
I am just wondering if the exam questions on the AWS Exam Readiness exam are much harder than the real SA Pro Exam? Do I need to know the services very in-depth, for example
– knowing about Redis write-through vs lazy loading for improving performance?
– knowing that ES can integrate with Kibana whilst Athena cannot
I can see the cheat sheets on here do mention these facts, so it would be good to know if I should be trying to retain as much in-depth details about the services as possible?

Hi Dan,
It’s great to use additional materials to help you with your AWS exam preparations. The official Exam Readiness course, which is provided for free by AWS, is really helpful and will provide you with additional information that you can use on your SA Pro exam.
However, take note that the exam has a question bank with about 150 unique questions. This means that all AWS exams are unique because each 75-question exam will be randomly pulled from the question bank. You will some questions that other people won’t see and vice versa. So in order to be on the safe side, you should be fully prepared before you take the official AWS exam.
Learning the in-depth features of Redis and ES would be helpful since you are already scoring 80%-90% in our practice tests.
