AZ-104 – Implement and Manage Storage – Question 10 – AzCopy Authentication
-
Hello,
I have a reason to believe your answers are incorrect here.
—————————————————————————————
Which of the following authentication methods can you use when transferring data using AzCopy to Blob storage and File storage?Select the correct answer from the drop-down list of options. Each correct selection is worth one point. Each method may be used once, more than once, or not at all.
Tutorial Dojo’s Answers:
Blob storage: Shared access signature
Choices were: Storage access Key, Shared access signature, Role-based access control, Microsoft authenticator
File storage Shared access signature
Choices were: Storage access Key, Shared access signature, Role-based access control, Microsoft authenticator
—————————————————————————————
According to Microsoft, AzCopy for both file and blob storage, supports the following authentication methods:
* Microsoft Entra ID
* Shared Access Signature (SAS)
* Storage Account Key
Can you please verify this and correct it?
Thanks!

Hello, Joe S.
Thank you for reaching out and bringing this to our attention.
You’re absolutely right. AzCopy now supports Microsoft Entra ID for both Azure Files and Azure Blobs, enabling role-based access control (RBAC) for more granular permissions. We will make the necessary updates, which should be reflected on the portal soon.
However, to ensure accuracy, could you share the relevant Azure documentation that confirms the use of the Storage Account Key as an authentication method?
