Hi, I’m a bit confused about this AZ-104 practice exam set 1, #9 question about the sequence to connect on-premises network to Azure by using a site-to-site VPN.

    The answer is

  • 1. Deploy a gateway subnet
  • 2. Deploy a VPN gateway
  • 3. Deploy a local network gateway
  • 4. Deploy a VPN connection
  • However, can’t I make it in the sequence like below?

    1. Deploy a local network gateway
    2. Deploy a gateway subnet

    3. Deploy a VPN gateway

    4. Deploy a VPN connection

Is there big difference between them? I asked ChatGPT and they said they’re same but I’ll lose 3 points for it. Thanks.

I also don’t believe it matters and I think your answer would work in practice. The answer they gave is a typical sequence though so in the exam just go for that I think if it comes up.
