Does anyone else see an issue with the requirements in the question vs the answer? It specifically mentions the requirement of scaling based on “traffic demand” but what is labeled as the correct answer contradicts that as well as the explanation in the second image, particularly where it mentions:

“Use automatic scaling in the following scenarios:

    – You prefer not to set up autoscale rules tied to resource metrics.”

I utilized Microsoft Learn to assist me with answering the question, following the chart in third image.

    Hi Nicholas,

Thank you for taking the time to analyze this scenario and for cross-checking it with Microsoft Learn.

You’re right to highlight the mismatch between the scenario’s requirements and the listed answer. In this case, the website is expected to experience a significant and unpredictable surge in global traffic following a marketing campaign. The key goals are:

    • Scaling dynamically based on traffic demand,

    • High availability and responsiveness, and

    • Minimal infrastructure management and cost efficiency.

While Azure App Service in the Standard plan supports autoscaling based on CPU utilization, it’s primarily suited for smaller or more predictable workloads. The Premium plan, however, offers:

    • Higher instance limits and faster scale-out for sudden global spikes,

    • Demand-based or automatic scaling with pre-warmed instances to minimize latency, and

    • A fully managed PaaS environment that removes the need for manual infrastructure management.

Therefore, the correct answer is Option 3 — Host the website on Azure App Service with the Premium plan and enable auto-scaling based on demand. This best satisfies the scenario’s requirements for performance, scalability, and reliability.

We appreciate you pointing this out, and we will update this item to reflect the correct answer.

    Regards,

Thank you for expanding further on this. I’m happy to contribute in this way as I feel the questions are bringing out concepts and thought patterns that other materials do not.

The part of your first point about the Premium plan with ” … faster scale-out for sudden global spikes” is a great point that lends even more credibility to Premium being the correct answer.

Can you confirm or deny this was/is a question on a real AZ-204 exam, with the correct answer being pulled from there?

    Hi Nicholas,

Thank you so much for your detailed feedback and for taking the time to share your thoughts.

To clarify, we’re not an exam dump provider, and the Tutorials Dojo team independently creates the content. Each question is unique and designed to reflect real-world Azure scenarios and exam-style reasoning; however, none are taken directly from actual Microsoft exams.

We’ve made some adjustments to this particular question to better align with the intended learning objectives and your helpful observations.

Thanks again for your continued support and engagement with our materials!

    Best regards,
    Nikee @ Tutorials Dojo
