Lesson 10 , Topic 3: Amazon VPC Network Architectures.

In the lecture, it was mentioned that the broadcasting address is the last address of the CIDR range.

For the case of CIDR Range of: 172.31.0.0/16:

Shouldn’t the broadcast address be 172.31.255.255 instead of 172.31.0.255 mentioned in the video?

Yes, you are correct. The CIDR IP range is 172.31.0.0 – 172.31.255.255, hence the broadcast address should be 172.31.255.255. We will update the affected video course and changes will be reflected soon.

Please be informed that changes been made for the affected video course and the broadcast address is now reflecting as 172.31.255.255 instead of 171.31.0.255.
