Not sure if this is the correct place to ask, but please provide an option to pause the exam and continue later. At least the review mode, provide that option. Sometimes we dont have full 1-2 hours to sit at once to complete the exam. Restarting from beginning every time is a bad experience.

    Hi Ebin,

You can pause and save your progress in the Timed Mode and come back at a later time. There is a Save & Next button at the bottom of each question in the Timed Mode sets which essentially saves all previously answered questions. When you reload the set, you’ll see a Resume Quiz button. To learn more about pausing a test in Timed Mode, visit this FAQ page – https://portal.tutorialsdojo.com/faq-timed-mode/.

For the Review Mode and Section-Based tests, there is no Pause button because these tests are relatively short (no more than 30 questions per test) and are usually completed in one sitting.

For the Final Test, we do not want you to be distracted as it’s intended to be the final gauge of your exam readiness. It simulates the actual exam where even bathroom breaks are not allowed, thus, we removed the ability to pause the test in this section.

Do check out our FAQ page for more information on the features available on the Tutorials Dojo portal and to help you navigate through the site: https://portal.tutorialsdojo.com/faqs/

Nonetheless, we are constantly improving our portal so we can serve you better. We actually just went live a few months ago and we acknowledge that there are things that we can improve on in our systems.

    FAQ – Timed Mode

    Hello ebin,

Thanks for the suggestion. The reason why the Review Mode only has a maximum of 30 questions is because it’s meant to be completed in one sitting. Based on the survey that we conducted, 30 seems to be the ideal number of questions that majority can work on in one sitting without feeling fatigue. Thus, the reason for not putting a Pause button in there.
In the near future, we’ll introduce a Pause button but only for the Timed Mode since both Review Modes and Section-Based modes are composed of tests that are no longer than 30 questions, making it ideal for around a 2-hour review session.

Nevertheless, we’ll conduct more surveys soon to find a sweet spot for this that majority will find to be beneficial. Thank you once again for your valuable suggestion.

    Cheers,

    Tutorials Dojo Team

I find that you delete our progress if it’s got timed-out or if we log out even after we do the complete test. Please keep our choices so that we can check the mistakes later with going through the matirials. Especially in AWS DevOps exam, we don’t have time to verify everything so keep our choices permanent unless we need to do the same exam again so you implement an option to refresh and wipe out the session like other providers.

      Hello Sahanpere,

Thank you for your inquiry. Our current platform allows our users to re-authenticate sessions after 3 hours of inactivity. If you have not been doing anything on the page for 3 hours, the server will time out your session. This is done for security reasons and to help increase the overall speed of the website. In other words, if you were taking the exam or just simply browsing the site then leave for a prolonged period of time or start browsing other pages, you will need to log in again and create a new session when you come back.

For succeeding attempts, we do recommend closing other tabs, sitting through the test without leaving the screen for a prolonged time, and ensuring that you don’t lose net connection during the duration of the test. Make sure also that you do not leave the site open overnight as this will cause the session to be terminated when you use it the following day. The best practice is to start a new session before attempting any test, especially the long ones, to ensure that your progress will be saved. Simply reload the site, log in, select the course, and take the test.

      I hope this helps.
