Missed opportunity RE AZ-104 (and other MS exams?)
-
I am sad to say that I have been actively unimpressed with Microsoft’s learning material for the AZ-104, and I do not mean in a “why doesn’t the course assume I know nothing and teach me every detail I might conceivably need to know”, kind of way.
There are some major, broad, and TOTAL and COMPREHENSIVE omissions from the learning path material, as compared with even the syllabus which is very minimal.
Take the official ‘Study guide for Exam AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator’ and its section on ‘provision-and-manage-containers-in-the-azure-portal’ “https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/certifications/resources/study-guides/az-104#provision-and-manage-containers-in-the-azure-portal”
“Provision and manage containers in the Azure portal
- Create and manage an Azure Container Registry
- Provision a container by using Azure Container Instances
- Provision a container by using Azure Container Apps
- Manage sizing and scaling for containers, including Azure Container Instances and Azure Container Apps”
*Create and manage an Azure Container Registry* , isn’t even hinted at as something that ‘exists’ in the training material.
These severe degrees of omission are becoming (compared to other MS exams I have taken) more common.
I feel that there might be a valuable opporotunity to add a section, certainly to your AZ-104 product focused on:
“!Essential Learning Path Material missing from Microsoft reccomendations!”
Note that this must ‘only’ be Microsoft’s official authoritative material. Please do not start upselling your own material under such a section as this erodes, especially in light of all the in-site adverts and pop-ups, would erode credibility.
Provide an explanation as to why you think its an essential recommendation plugging a gap.In this case it should be something like
“https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/modules/deploy-use-azure-container-registry/”

Hi An-L,
Thank you again for your detailed feedback and suggestions.
To better understand your concern, could you kindly clarify what specific issue you’re encountering with our AZ-104 content? Is it related to missing topics, level of coverage, or how the material is presented?
Regarding your suggestion, we understand the value of highlighting gaps in Microsoft’s learning materials. However, at Tutorials Dojo, our primary focus is on providing high-quality practice exams and explanations that help you prepare effectively and pass the certification exam, rather than identifying or curating missing learning materials from official sources.
That said, we aim to cover important topics in our questions and explanations, even those that may not be emphasized enough in Microsoft Learn, so learners are well-prepared for the AZ-104 exam.
We appreciate your insights and will keep them in mind as we continue improving our content.
Best regards,
Nikee @ Tutorials Dojo-
No problem with your material.
Its just as I say, perhaps a missed opportunity to go beyond practice exams? You already provide crib notes.
But you have limited practice exams, and now I’ve somewhat wasted one, because I tested an area I had no knowledge in and now I can’t test that area again.
But as you summarise it is as I meant it. Nothing more to explain.
You either agree there is an opportunity to help, or its not compatible.
Its like
“hey, we know that 100% of you who relied on Microsoft learning path material to close some gaps in your knowledge will not be ready to take practice exams yet. We know the material! We know the problems! Go here first!”
(Task complete [X])
“Great now take our tests!”

Hi An-L,
Thanks for your follow-up message and for sharing your thoughts.
To clarify, are you referring to the gap between the official Microsoft learning materials and the actual preparation needs, particularly in areas like container management (e.g., Azure Container Registry) that are not well covered? Or is it more about the overall balance of content available in our practice exams compared to what you feel is essential to master?
I also understand your concern about the limited number of practice exams. Just to clarify, in TD, our practice exams come with a 1-year course expiration, so you can take the exams as many times as you need within that period, allowing you to revisit and retest areas that need improvement. So, even if you feel like you’ve tested a topic you were unfamiliar with, there’s always the opportunity to review and retake the exam to strengthen that knowledge.
Additionally, I’d like to clarify that we do not offer exam dumps or question banks from the actual exam. Our focus is on providing practice exams designed to test and strengthen your understanding of the key concepts and skills needed to succeed, rather than focusing on specific exam questions.
We appreciate your insights and will continue to enhance our content to better serve learners like yourself. Your feedback is valuable, and we remain committed to providing high-quality exam preparation resources.
Best regards,
Nikee @ Tutorials Dojo-
It is not a general problem with your content, it is isolated problems with Microsoft Learning path material content, that is adding up to an increasing pattern which suggests an increasing problem.
An opportunity for you to help yourselves by strengthening the value of your product, which also of course helps us.-
Hi An-L,
Thanks for the clarification. We appreciate you sharing this perspective. We’ll take your observations into consideration as we continue to review and refine our content coverage.
Best regards,
Nikee @ Tutorials Dojo
