Your company plans to implement a hybrid Microsoft Entra ID that will include the following users:

You have been assigned to modify the Department and UsageLocation attributes of the given users.

Which attributes can you modify from Microsoft Entra ID?

Select the correct answer from the drop-down list of options. Each correct selection is worth one point.

    Department

    UsageLocation

TD states UsageLocation for all users can be modified. I expected that to be true since it is necessary for licensing. However I looked it up:

    Perplexity states :

    > Users Dev3 and Dev4 are synchronized from on-premises Windows Server
Active Directory to Microsoft Entra ID. According to Microsoft Entra
Connect synchronization behavior, attributes for such synchronized users
are mastered on-premises, meaning their primary management and
modification must occur in the on-premises AD environment. Changes made
directly in Microsoft Entra ID for these synchronized users typically
are not allowed or will be overwritten by the next synchronization from
    on-premises AD.

    Hello samabc,

    Thanks for the feedback.

Based on the official Azure documentation, you must use Windows Server Active Directory for users whose source of authority is Windows Server Active Directory to update their identity, contact info, or job info. After making updates, you must wait for the next synchronization cycle to complete before the changes take effect. However, you can update their attributes directly in the Microsoft Entra admin center if you are updating Microsoft Entra ID attributes, such as Usage Location.

    Please refer to this: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/fundamentals/how-to-manage-user-profile-info#profile-categories

I hope this helps! Let us know if you need further assistance.

    Regards,
