I had paused the “Final Test” in the video course for a few minutes and it reset my answers to my previous 45 questions to nothing, while keeping the timer at <time_left>, losing my ~2 hours of test-taking.

I remember reading someone else had the same issue and wondered if it was being addressed or not. It’s kind of frustrating to lose one’s already answered questions.

    Hi Stitched,

Thank you for your inquiry and apologies for the inconvenience you had with the Pause button. After pausing the exam, did you leave the Pause summary screen unattended for a prolonged period of time? We suggest closing your browser tab after pausing the test. This will keep the time and answers saved in the system.

It is best practice to exit the course, log off (if you plan to continue the test at a later time), and log in again when the time comes that you want to resume the test.

To learn more about pausing a test in Timed Mode, visit this FAQ page.

Please also note that your results, regardless of the mode you are currently in (Timed Mode, Review Mode, Section-Based Mode, and Final Test), will only be recorded once you submit the Quiz.

    Cheers,

    Hi Stitched,

Based on your records, you recently took the included full test of the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate VIDEO course. We tried replicating the issue but it seems that we can actually save and resume the test progress, as seen in this screencast:

    [video src="https://media.tutorialsdojo.com/april-2023-full-practice-test-aws.mp4" /]

The issue is actually quite old (2021), and some issues like this could be caused by a conflicting web browser plugin or others.

Can you kindly do a quick test once again, please? We want to rule out if this issue is just a once-off thing or not, as we can’t replicate it on our end. If the issue persists, please let m know and if possible, kindly share a quick screencast (only if you have time) if you happen to encounter the issue again.

The ScreenCast site can help you share a screencast with us so we can resolve any issues sooner.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Cheers,

    Tutorials Dojo Team

      Hi Jon,

I’ll try it and see if it happens again with the Video Course Full Test.
I did one of the Review Tests later that day and did a Pause/Continue and it worked fine.
I’d have to track down what extension might be interfering as well (I noticed with the Full-Test, it did a lot of screen refreshes/reloads before displaying the quiz again).

If I can find anything useful, I’ll post it here.

I am viewing the site with the latest version of Chrome and using the site’s built-in “Dark Mode”

I took the video course’s Final Exam yesterday, pausing a few times throughout to try to recreate what happened last time (<5 minutes at a time).
I completed the exam without a reset, which is good… but bad that it’s not re-creatable; consistently.
Will try what happened last time – complete ~ 3/4 of the exam (45 questions or so) and pausing it for longer to see if it triggers the behavior.
