You cant be serious about this
The ques clearly mentioned windows server. Why would anyone even bother to pick netapp ontap? This is such a poor ques. Even claude and gemini r getting this wrong.

    Hello Rohan Madiratta,

    Thanks for the feedback.

You’ve pointed out that referencing Windows Server in the question can make FSx for Windows File Server seem like the obvious choice. This is a logical assumption, and many learners (as well as some AI models) tend to favor that option. However, this question is purposely crafted to assess a deeper technical alignment with the specified requirements: high availability across multiple Availability Zones and low-latency block storage access.

FSx for NetApp ONTAP supports iSCSI block-level access and Multi-AZ deployment, which makes it the only option that satisfies both conditions. Windows Server can connect to iSCSI targets, so the pairing is valid. https://docs.aws.amazon.com/fsx/latest/ONTAPGuide/mount-iscsi-windows.html

The key here is that FSx for NetApp ONTAP supports iSCSI, which enables block-level storage access. This requirement was explicitly stated in the question. While FSx for Windows File Server is more “native” to Windows, it only provides file-level access, not block storage.

I hope this helps! Let us know if you need further assistance.

    Best regards,
    JR @ Tutorials Dojo
