    Hi everyone,

I’m working through the SAA-C03 2026 practice exams and noticed something that’s affecting my study. Multiple questions across different review sets are labeled ‘CSAA’ but seem like SAA-level content.

    Examples:

    • Review Set 5, Question 49 (Aurora failover)
    • Review Set 4 (NAT Gateway HA design)

Has anyone else noticed this? I’m unsure if I should focus on these questions or not since they’re marked for a different cert.

Also, Review Set 5 Question 49 has an answer that contradicts AWS documentation (Aurora creates instances vs. promotes replicas via A record update).

If this is a known issue, has Tutorial Dojo addressed the categorization or corrected the Aurora answer?

I’d appreciate clarification so I can adjust my study plan accordingly.

    Thanks

    Following up on this.

I’m mainly trying to clarify whether questions labeled CSAA inside the SAA-C03 2026 practice exams should still be treated as part of the SAA study scope, or whether the label means they belong to a different certification set.

I’d also appreciate technical clarification on Review Set 5, Question 49, since the Aurora failover explanation appears to conflict with AWS documentation.

    Thanks,
    Hazem

      Hi Hazem,

CSAA and SAA are the same certification — the “C” just stands for “Certified” (AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate). It’s only an alternate shorthand, not a different exam, so every question in the SAA-C03 sets is in scope. No need to adjust your study plan.

On Review Set 5, Q49: both Aurora behaviors are correct depending on the cluster. With replicas, Aurora promotes one and flips the writer endpoint’s CNAME (usually under 30 seconds). With no replicas, it creates a new instance, which takes longer. The explanation is describing the no-replica case, so it isn’t contradicting the AWS docs.

Hope that clears things up; good luck with your prep!

      Best,

      Irene @ Tutorials Dojo
