What is the difference between SAA-C02 and SAA-C03 AWS exams?

I noticed that there are new topics relating to SAA-C03 in your current reviewer. The version for the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate exam is still on SAA-C02 and won’t be changed until August 30.

Why did you include those new SAA-C03 questions in your content? I am concerned that this will affect the scores tremendously.

Hi Abhishek,

I understand your concern. We’ve been a practice test provider since 2018, so please hear out our reason as to why we are implementing this change early,

First off, this practice exam is not an exam dump – therefore, you won’t expect to see actual SAA-C03 questions here. In reality, no one knows the actual questions for the SAA-C03 exam since AWS did not release a BETA exam for this one. What this reviewer provides is a close approximation of what topics will show up for the SAA-C02 and SAA-C03 exams. And of course, the latest SAA-C03 exam is not even out yet (not until the end of August)

Second, we only added a couple of questions that relate to SAA-C03. If you read the official exam guides for SAA-C02 and the new SAA-C03, you will see there that there’s a section about “Unscored content”. For SAA-C02, the exam includes 15 unscored questions that do not affect your score. AWS adds a couple of new SAA-C03 questions too on their current SAA-C02 exam for evaluation and future use. This format is what we’re following, which is why we have SAA-C03 content included in our practice exams.

Again, those SAA-C03 questions that you will encounter in your actual SAA-C02 will not count. That’s just how AWS Certifications do their transition.

Thirdly, the difference between SAA-C02 and SAA-C03 is quite minimal. We compared the Exam Domains of both versions and found out that they’re the same. Look at the Appendix sections of both versions on their respective Exam Guides, and you’ll see that the services covered are almost similar, except for a handful of new AWS services.

We’ve been in touch with a lot of our students, and they reported that they also see the new SAA-C03 topics on their current SAA-C02 exam. You can even read various forums, blogs, or the r/AWSCertifications sub on Reddit, and you’ll see there that some posts mentioning this as well.

The bulk of our SAA-C03 updates will be done in mid-August, and we will continue to update our content based on customer feedback and on our experience. This proven approach is also what we did when we transitioned from SAA-C00 to SAA-C01 and from SAA-C02 to SAA-C03.

Hey Jon,

Thank you for that quick response! I do understand that your SAA-C03 reviewer is not an exam dump and I want to clarify that I am not looking for one.

I didn’t know that there is an Unscored Content on both SAA-C02 and SAA-C03. This is a new information for me, even though it is there on the official Exam Guide. I appreciate your time sharing this valuable information to me.

I guess, this is also the case for the new AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional SAP-C02 and on the recently released AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty ANS-C01 exams.
