  • Wiping all the answers once the time ends.

After the time ended on the first set on timed mode, (which I had to answer again and again since it kept losing my answers) it just finishes the exam.
There is a “continue” option that I imagined would allow me to end the exam, since I was not able to answer it all on time.
Clicking continue, I went to the next set, and it wiped all my answers on the first, not allowing me to complete the questions missing, or even review those I made.
There is no way to keep our answers for each set recorded? Would it not be good to come back and review our mistakes? Why to wipe it all clean?
    Very Frustrating.
The questions for the exam are really good, the explanations too, but the experience on this site is really bad. Is there a way for me to get a discount to buy the same exam from Tutorial Dojo on udemy? I had already bought others tutorial dojo exams on udemy for the associate exams, and there, it works fine. We can pause exams, once we finish it stays recorded so you can come back later and review the mistakes. Basic functionality.

To make it clear, I did not finished the exam on time, since I had to keep getting back and answer again questions after each resume. I see that in the dashboard there is a record of the questions I answered. Since it is already recorded, cant I just keep load those questions I answered and keep the exam to answer what was missing? Why to clean wipe it all on the timed mode?

      Hi There,

Did you get the chance to view our FAQ pages first? While we recognize that there are a lot of room for improvement on the site, I also think that a lot of your confusion stems from the expectation that our portal should function exactly as how the Udemy platform behaves, which is quite naive since the two are built on entirely different systems and given the fact that the latter is a billion-dollar company that has existed since 2010.

I do suggest that you go through our FAQ pages first:

      https://portal.tutorialsdojo.com/faqs/

      Timed Mode FAQ:

      https://portal.tutorialsdojo.com/faq-timed-mode/

We have just released the portal last March and is just a small startup with limited resources. Rest assured that we are doing our best. We did put a lot of information in the FAQ page to help users navigate through the site. Just don’t expect it to be exactly like Udemy.

For the areas on the site that are not that intuituve yet, we are indeed aware of that and we conducted a survey before releasing the site. Around 90% of the testers did agree that the site is already so much better than the features on Udemy. And where there are lacking in terms of usability, we have ensured that there’s at least a workaround for now.

Again, I’m not saying that we won’t work on improving this. It’s just that it will take some time to do so.

And to answer your question – no, we don’t issue discounted Udemy coupons anymore. And we do intend to increase our prices there and eventually make all of our content exclusively available here in the Tutorials Dojo portal.

      Cheers,

      Stace @ Tutorials Dojo

    Hi Rodrigo,

Thank you for your message. You can see your previous exam attempts on your “My Dashboard” page. Just click the “Statistics icon” to view the correct and incorrect answers you’ve selected.

There is a reason why we have various test modes in our portal. If you want to simulate the actual exam, you can use the Timed-mode and Final-mode tests. It has the proper time limit that you’ll encounter in the actual AWS exam.

In your case, it would be great if you use the Review-mode, so it won’t have any time limit. You can also view the answers immediately. This information is actually provided on the FAQ page, that we sent over when you first purchased the course:

    https://portal.tutorialsdojo.com/faqs/

I understand that our portal is not perfect, but we have more features that Udemy doesn’t even have, considering that we’re quite new in the market. I ask for your understanding on some issues on our site but for this particular issue, I believe that the provided information in the “My Dashboard” page should be enough.

    Cheers,

    Jon Bonso @ Tutorials Dojo

      Hey Jon.

Thanks for getting back. The problem with review mode, is that it is limited to 30 ramdomized questions each time, so it would be a pain to get all the questions.
Please, consider then adding a feature to use review mode with all the questions, or have a timed mode that after the time expires, it gives the option to finish the exam or keep going even after the time. I think it would improve a lot the experience.
Anyway, your exams are great, the quality is so good, that I will also buy in udemy to be able to answer there, but I hope the portal keeps improving.
      Thanks again.

Thanks, Rodrigo. I understand your point. We actually conducted a survey among our customers on their preferred way of studying for the exam. What was concluded was the majority of people prefer having short quizzes over longer ones, to avoid too much pressure.

Every person has different learning preferences. Some folks just want to go directly to the Timed-mode section and take the full 65-question tests, while others prefer doing the shorter Review-mode tests and Section-based tests. There are also professionals, like you, who want to view all the 65-questions on Review-mode.

As a workaround, I suggest that you open up one Timed-mode test and then immediately end the test so you can view the Results page. This page is somewhat akin to the Review-mode, as it shows the explanations to all questions of the test. This is actually what other people do in Udemy when they are doing their review.

        Cheers,

        Jon Bonso
