    Hey guys,

I just wanna let you know that (maybe?) this question is just not right.

As it turns out AWS Kinesis Data Streams cannot be set for a retention period longer than 7 days.

Could you please give it a double check?

    Thanks,

    Hello Vitor,

Thank you for bringing up your concern! There may have been some confusion regarding the retention period for Amazon Kinesis Data Streams. To clarify, Kinesis Data Streams retains data for a default period of 24 hours. However, if you enable extended retention, it can store data for up to 365 days (or 8,760 hours). This extended retention allows for long-term data storage, which is suitable for the use cases you described.

For more information on how to configure extended retention in Kinesis, you can refer to the official AWS documentation.

Let me know if you need more information, and thank you again for your patience!

    Regards,
