Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

After reviewing the question, I say that I agree with using the managed rules in AWS Config. The only thing that lacks in it is the notification which we can add using AWS Lambda + CloudWatch Events, and SNS. The correct answer specifically lays out all the steps but it’s the same as the answer that you pointed out (just without explicitly mentioning the notification.)

We will revise the options of this question accordingly.
