The particular question is focused on the RDS recovery strategy into another region in case the primary region fails. That’s why the choices only mention particular solutions for this requirement.
There is no mention of EC2 instances or AMI backups since there could be other services that may be hosting the application – like ECS Fargate for example.
We do have other questions/scenarios in our practice test that have scaled down versions of application – pilot light or warm-standby or using CloudFormation templates.
