Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one.
It was indicated that existing and future financial records would be stored in the cloud (AWS) but made no mention of how they are going to be accessed. Storage Gateway isn’t necessary for file retrieval. You can still access S3 without it. For example, the company could create an internal application that fetches records from S3. The main concern of the scenario revolves around data migration, not establishing hybrid networks.
