To clarify, AWS offers two services to help you manage and analyze your AWS usage and costs: AWS Cost Explorer and AWS Cost and Usage Report. AWS Cost Explorer is a cost management tool that enables you to visualize and analyze your AWS spending and usage. With Cost Explorer, you can track your Amazon EC2 Reserved Instance (RI) usage and view the discounted RI rate that was charged to your resources. In contrast, AWS Cost and Usage Report provides a detailed breakdown of your AWS costs and usage, including usage data and pricing information, which can be downloaded in CSV.
