Thank you for your feedback and for bringing this to our attention.
There seems to be a mistake in the scenario. Instead of KCL logs, it should’ve been *ProvisionedThroughputExceeded exceptions (Read and Write) that KDS sends to CloudWatch.
I understand that if the KCL were calling DynamoDB APIs, the ProvisionedThroughputExceeded exception from DynamoDB would indeed be returned to the KCL. And should the code be configured to capture this exception, it would also be logged.
With that said, we’ll be revising this question to make it more technically correct.
