What has me guessing is that you have some regional settings issues and, in the process, maybe some interface restrictions between labs in the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate course and the AWS Management Console. As per user settings, the default region for your AWS account may vary, and you must have an option to update that on your own. If you do not get an option to rename the VPCs and subnets, maybe this feature of the Playcloud environment that you are using for training is not similar to the feature of the real AWS Management Console. Moreover, errors that occur while selecting some specific regions, such as the Asia Pacific (Mumbai), could also be due to temporary service errors or account-specific limitations. In this case, I would recommend checking the notifications from AWS and guiding the differences through course support.
