The AWS documentation is not up-to-date. I have provided feedback to AWS on that already.
The faq was only updated last month, while the userguide is from 2018 I believe…So there are/were:
Snowball (old default, now transitioned out of service)
Snowball Edge Compute Optimized
Snowball Edge Storage Optimized (current default)I think you can still order the Snowball Edge Compute Optimized
