This course consists of several modules that cover the essential information about Amazon Web Services (AWS) as well as the various cloud concepts in building a well-architected framework. There is also a Knowledge Check section in each module which ensures that you fully understand the concepts discussed.
The first module provides an introduction to the AWS Cloud and the methods available to interact with various AWS services. The second module is comprised of a series of videos that provide high-level information about several AWS Cloud services, including Amazon Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2), Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS), Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), the AWS Global Infrastructure, Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), and Security Groups. The third module focuses on architectural considerations for deploying or migrating to the AWS Cloud. The module covers the fundamentals of a well-architected solution, discusses fault tolerance and availability, and wraps up with a section on web hosting on the AWS Cloud.
The remaining modules cover the describe basic security and compliance aspects of the AWS platform, including the Shared Security Model. It also teaches you how to describe basic security and compliance aspects of the AWS platform and the shared security model. The pricing system in the AWS Cloud is also covered. It starts with a general introduction to Amazon’s philosophy on pricing, discusses the actual pricing characteristics for many of AWS core offerings, covers some AWS tools that can help you control your costs, and ensure you’re getting the best value for your money. It also includes information on available Support Plans.
