In the question:
“An advertising agency will launch a web application that will be deployed on Amazon EC2 instances backed by an Application Load Balancer. The SysOps admin needs to configure the DNS records using Amazon Route 53.
Which type of DNS record should the SysOps admin configure to point the apex domain name (www.katipunanagency.com) to the Application Load balancer?”
AFAIK “www.katipunanagency.com” is not an apex domain name (it should be “katipunanagency.com”)

Hi CarlosQ,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we appreciate your eye for detail. Indeed, the correct reference for the apex domain name is “katipunanagency.com” rather than “www.katipunanagency.com”. Apex domains, also known as root domains or naked domains, are at the root of a DNS zone and don’t contain subdomains.
Having that said, our team will do the necessary update for this item. Let me know if you have any questions.
