CloudWatch Memory usage tracking
-
One question is about CloudWatch metrics, memory usage tracking.
Where the answer supposed to be
“Install the CloudWatch custom monitoring scripts.”
Bit this is already legacy. The latest CloudWatch agents (at least under Linux) do track memory and disk statistics.
Please refer to https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonCloudWatch/latest/monitoring/metrics-collected-by-CloudWatch-agent.htmlAlso see this remark
“We recommend that you use the CloudWatch agent to collect metrics and logs. The information about the monitoring scripts is provided for customers who are still using the old monitoring scripts to gather information from their Linux instances.” here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/mon-scripts.html
