If you have to retain data in S3 with immediate access in minutes whenever needed with minimum cost solution which of the 2 options would you select?

1. S3-IA

2. S3- One Zone

3. Glacier

One option will surely be S3-IA which will be another? Should we go with Glacier because it says we have to retain data? or should we go with S3-one zone because its minimum cost solution?

Hello Akshay51,

If immediate access is needed, then Glacier is out of the question. Now, we are left with S3-IA and S3-One Zone. Between the two, the latter is cheaper, however, the tradeoff is that One Zone is less reliable since data is stored in a single availability zone.
