I began Maarek’s 27 hour AWS SSA-C02 course on Udemy in Summer 2022 but got distracted from it and lost interest about mid-way. I resumed the course in April 2022, and found that some lectures had been updated and some had been added. I completed the full Maarek course and completed two of the exams and failed miserably… my fault, due to the break in continuity and lack of practice.
I bought the Tutorialsdojo test set and studied rigorously. After each quiz, topic review and practice exam, I would review what failed and copy pertinent notes to a text file for print and study. I also reviewed the AWS references linked to in the material. I slowly got a little better, but my practice exams only averaged around 85%. When doing the 65-question exams, I would hide the clock, but periodically check it. On the final test, I allowed the clock to remain visible.
To my great astonishment, I passed the SSA-C02 real exam on the last day (8/29/2022). It was very difficult, somewhat like the Bonso questions, but some more involved scenarios and more involved answers with more subtle wording… or it seemed that way due to the relentless timer running down. Part of the challenge was the stress of having to deal with the clunky PearsonVue registration system. If you use that test company, be sure to download the native app; the web app version is unreliable. And don’t bother calling their help desk.
