    Hi AngelRa,

    Thanks for the feedback.

In the given scenario, you plan to create the virtual machines listed below “in the order they are listed.” This means that you will create VM4 (2 vCPU) first, then VM6(8 vCPU) last.

The current deployed VMs in the “North Central US” are:
    – VM1 (4 vCPU)
    – VM2 (8 vCPU)

Therefore, the total vCPU would be 12 of 15.

The main reason that VM6 can’t be created in North Central US is because VM4 (2 vCPU) would be created first, so the total vCPU will be 14 of 15 in the North Central US.

Take note that quota is calculated based on the total number of cores in use, both allocated and deallocated.
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/quotas?tabs=cli

If you want to create VM6 with 8 vCPU, you would need to request a quota increase.

    Hi sethrandall,

Thanks for bringing up the question.

In this scenario, when you use the notification type “Email Azure Resource Manager role”, you can send an email to the subscription members, based on their role and a notification email is sent only to the primary email address configured for the Azure AD user. But the email is only sent to Azure AD user members of the selected role, not to Azure AD groups or service principals.

Since the other type of identities are member of AD groups and are service principal. Therefore, TDU3 who is not a member of any AD group will receive an email notification.

    Hi elnook,

Thanks for bringing up the question.

An Availability Set is a logical grouping of Azure virtual machines (VMs) that are deployed across different fault domains and update domains within a single Azure region. This helps to protect your VMs from unplanned outages such as hardware failures or software updates.

The correct answer is: Create an Availability Set that has three update domains and two fault domains. Because the VMs will be spread across three update domains and two fault domains. This means that if one update domain or fault domain goes down, the other two will still be available. This will ensure that at least two VMs are always available during planned Azure maintenance.

The incorrect option is: Create an Availability Set that has two update domains and three fault domains. Because this would only guarantee that one VM is available during planned maintenance.

Take note that during scheduled maintenance, only one update domain is updated at any given time. A rebooted update domain is given 30 minutes to recover before maintenance is initiated on a different update domain.

    Hi MarvinS,

    Thanks for the feedback.
The link you’ve sent is for “Moving an app to another region”. For this question, the app will be moved to another “resource group”. If you created two resource groups:
    1. TD-RG1
    – Contains a virtual machine
    – Region: Australia East
    2. TD-RG2 (lock type: delete)
    – No resources
    – Region: Southeast Asia

With these configurations, you can move the VM from RG-1 to RG-2 using the Azure Portal.

    Hi DL1,

    Thanks for the feedback.

I understand that either the assigned or dynamic membership can satisfy the given requirements. But since this is a practice test, the goal here is to help the examiners understand that there are various ways to meet certain requirements. That is why we created this item with two correct answers to let the user know that there is also another option they can perform.

We’ll take note of your feedback and try to polish this item to make it more comprehensible for our students. I appreciate that you also gave a suggestion on how we can reword it better. It will definitely help us improve our content!

    Hi Don,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this item.

With regards to fault tolerance, this defines how resilient or the availability of your application. Since in the given scenario, auto-scaling already stopped adding new instances. This means that there won’t be any recommendations needed from Trusted Advisor regarding fault tolerance because auto scaling is already configured. Now, if it can’t add new instances, maybe there are other problems such as service limits/quotas. According to the documentation of Trusted Advisor, “Service quotas are the maximum number of resources that you can create in an AWS account.” Our team will take a look at this item and we’ll try to polish to make it more comprehensible for our students.

    Hi misutarago,

    Thanks for the feedback.

After checking the drag and drop questions in Timed Mode Diagnostic Test, I am getting the correct answer to both questions. When answering this type of question, you need to match it in the correct order (number on the right side). You can take a look at the screenshot below.

    Hello san-pat,

Thanks for bringing up the question.

I think it is still correct, to avoid confusion, we will update the option to:

Modify the associated IAM Role assigned to the developers by removing the policy that allows them to terminate EC2 instances in production.
