    Hi Nikita,

The quote that Kenneth mentioned is from the OFFICIAL AWS documentation:

To forward selected queries, you create Resolver rules that specify the domain names for the DNS queries that you want to forward (such as example.com), and the IP addresses of the DNS resolvers on your network that you want to forward the queries to. If a query matches multiple rules (example.com, acme.example.com), Resolver chooses the rule with the most specific match (acme.example.com) and forwards the query to the IP addresses that you specified in that rule.

    Reference:

    https://docs.aws.amazon.com/Route53/latest/DeveloperGuide/resolver.html

Second, you can actually add a conditional rule to your Outbound endpoint in Amazon Route 53. This is supported by none other than the official AWS docs itself: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/Route53/latest/DeveloperGuide/resolver.html#resolver-overview-forward-vpc-to-network

    Hi NFS,

Thank you for raising your concerns about this scenario. The answer to your question can actually be found in the provided explanation.

Enabling route propagation is not a silver bullet. The routing depends on whether a route in your Route Table is static or propagated and which is more “specific” – which is a term related to the networking concept of Longest Prefix Match. (e.g. 192.168.0.0/24 is more “specific” (smaller CIDR block) than the 192.168.0.0/16 block.

In a Site-to-Site VPN connection, you can specify two types of routing:

    1. static
    2. dynamic (also known as propagated route).

Just as what is shown in the explanation:

We use the most specific route in your route table that matches the traffic to determine how to route the traffic (longest prefix match). If your route table has overlapping or matching routes, the following rules apply:

If propagated routes from a Site-to-Site VPN connection or AWS Direct Connect connection overlap with the local route for your VPC, the local route is most preferred even if the propagated routes are more specific.

If propagated routes from a Site-to-Site VPN connection or AWS Direct Connect connection have the same destination CIDR block as other existing static routes (longest prefix match cannot be applied), we prioritize the static routes whose targets are an internet gateway, a virtual private gateway, a network interface, an instance ID, a VPC peering connection, a NAT gateway, a transit gateway, or a gateway VPC endpoint.

You can absolutely choose to load any portion of the test without having to complete them in chronological order. The course is designed to be in “free form” i.e. it’s not mandatory to go through each time mode test first so feel free to jump into any section that you want to tackle.

As for the Review Mode, we highly recommend going through the explanations as you answer each question. It is a crucial part of that training mode and skipping the explanations part would make it almost just like the time mode except that you know right away whether you were right or wrong.

    Hello Robert,

Thanks for posting here. Below are my responses to the issues that you raised:

And another one asking for the Pause button in the timed test!

Yes, I read your reply that the Save&Next button acts like a Pause, but the time keeps running or? In other words I don’t understand (despite the clarifications in this thread and the instructions page before the test) how the Save&Next button can act like a Pause, as I also didn’t see an Exit button. This area does need some simplification I think!

    >>I can guarantee you that the timer does STOP whenever you hop out of the exam so if there’s 30 minutes remaining if you exit a test in timed mode, you’ll definitely have 30 minutes when you resume the set. We do understand that having a Pause button is more straightforward and ideal and it’s something that we will definitely consider for future improvement.

    Furthermore:

    – upon a multi-option answer required (e.g. choose 3), either give a clear warning that not 3 options were selected AND/OR do not proceed when someone clicks the Save&Next button and not the required amount of options was selected (this happened to me several times with Udemy, contrary to Whizlabs which gives a warning and doesn’t let you proceed, which is better I feel)

    >>I understand that Whizlabs has absolutely fantastic test features but I hope you understand that Whizlabs was founded in 2002 and it took them more than a decade to be where they are right now with top-notch interface and testing features. We have just released the portal last month and it’s simply not possible to be as feature-rich as these other platforms right away. We could argue though that “young” as we may be, our content are always of top-notch quality, even exceeding those that have long existed in the market.

Nevertheless, we do appreciate the feedback. Our first few months are meant to be a feedback-gathering stage so we can add the more compelling improvements first, based on what’s more important for our users.

    – the JSON in the security speciality sampler timed test was not indented, which makes it a pain in the <censored> to read!

    >> To assist us in checking this, could you kindly send a screenshot to support@tutorialsdojo.com?

    – a feedback button per question (at least in review mode of after a timed test is finished and you review the result) would be beneficial I think

    >>This is once again an advanced feature which hopefully we can incorporate in the future.

    – consider to move the test progress and time from the top of the page to the (left)side, so that you always have this in view (similar to Whizlabs), reduces scrolling

    >>Alright, this is noted. We’ll see if this is a low hanging fruit that can be improved quickly.

    – option to reduce the font size, so that more of the question and answers fits on the screen? (less scrolling)

    >>Unfortunately, we need to cater to those who are visually-impaired and we can’t go any smaller that how it currently is. Nevertheless, thanks for the suggestion! 🙂

    Hello Susanta,

Thanks for your feedback. You do have the ability to Pause the tests in Timed Mode via the Save&Next button where you can hop out and continue at a later time.

In both the Review Mode and Section-Based tests, the length of the tests are short (max of 30 questions only) and based on feedback we have gathered, this is the ideal length of questions that a user can do in one sitting, which minimizes the need for a Pause button. Lastly, for the Final Test, we want to really simulate the actual exam environment here where even bathroom breaks are not allowed so we designed it to run continuously during the entire duration of the test without the ability to Pause.

Nevertheless, we value your suggestion and we will keep that in mind for possible future updates.

    Cheers,
